About Fire Dancing

Fire dancing is an incredibly empowering art form. Originally poi (meaning ball on a string) was a training tool for the Maori (the natives of New Zealand) warriors. The practice of poi enlists coordination, movement, and hand, wrist, and arm dexterity to help warriors skillfully use their weapons.

Fire dancing is a fun and exhilarating practice to learn and enjoy. This workshop is open to all who are feeling compelled to expand their comfort zone, embrace something new, and ignite a new passion!

Build your own Equipment

In this Ignite Your Fire Workshop, Olivia will guide you through the step by step of making your own fire poi to take home with you. Following assembly, use your own fire poi while learning the basics of fire spinning, and begin your journey of igniting the fire God/Goddess within!

You will walk away from this workshop with the ability to continue practicing with your new fire poi. Show your friends and family your new skill!

Your Instructor

In 2012 Olivia discovered the empowering art of fire dance during her travels through Costa Rica. She then joined ‘Kiki and The Flaming Gypsies’, a prominent fire dancing troupe in the Virgin Islands, and started performing nightly at the local hotels on St. Croix. She left the troupe to continue her growth journey, becoming a massage therapist in 2013, getting her yoga cert in 2015, and creating a career in the healing arts. Olivia recently moved back to Conway, NH to be near family after the pandemic hit. During the shutdown, Olivia found that fire dancing was a wonderful social distancing activity and has been teaching and empowering women how to build their own poi and find their own fire within using the art of fire dancing. From UT to AK to NH Olivia keeps her sense of adventure alive.
