TARA L. MULLANEY
”Sommelier”
It wasn’t love at first sight. But then again, the first sip was White Zinfandel. Then came Bartles and James. Since those early years, thankfully, Tara has refined her palate. It really began as a restaurant manager tasting wine with wine reps. Then as the Director of Conventions and Catering at the Amway Grand Plaza hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan choosing everything from the house wines to the Captain’s list for the renowned restaurants the 1913 Room and Cignus Restaurant. Once she transplanted to Nashville managing the convention and catering program at Gaylord Opryland, she became involved with l’Ete du Vin, now known as the Nashville Wine Auction. For the last 20 years, volunteering and attending their world-class events throughout the year, she had the opportunity to meet vintners from around the world hosting wine tasting and auction events. No expert, Tara loves to connect people to wine. Help them enjoy what they like, have some fun, and learn a little along the way.
