Allen Gaskell (MS, RYT 500)

Allen has been practicing Vipassana and other Buddhist style meditation for over 25 years. Prior to retiring in 2007, he worked as a psychologist, therapist, and rehabilitation counselor specializing in the treatment of trauma, addictions and substance abuse.  Upon his retirement, Allen was certified in and taught Bikram yoga for 10 years. It was during this time that he developed a passion for combining his meditation practice with his yoga practice, especially in the context of exploring the alignment in both the body and the mind. He has studied yoga asana as therapy (under Doug Keller) extensively and enjoys practicing with and learning from anyone who’s interested!
